He is OK. He tried to help and searched for a shoe sore for me and gave me a sample of Santyl and some toe separators for the top that presses against the sore toe. When I got home, I asked on My Chart if I should keep putting the Santyl on the open red skin since the Santyl dissolves the blood scab each time it forms, and the sore bleeds. The nurse replied to use the Santyl for three weeks but did NOT tell me if I should put it on the scab or on the raw skin.
